Commercial work asks two things of a surface: it has to make an impression in the first three seconds, and it has to survive years of daily use. Polished mineral plaster does both, which is why it appears in lobbies, restaurants, private members' bars, salons and showrooms.
We plan commercial commissions around the building rather than the other way round: out-of-hours working, phased areas, concierge and lift access, dust control and realistic drying windows are all agreed before we arrive on site.
Large areas are sampled and signed off in advance, then applied by the same hands from start to finish so the movement reads consistently across every wall.
Sealed and waxed finishes are specified for high-traffic zones, washrooms and back-of-house so the surface can be cleaned without losing its sheen.
